Dunkermotoren invests in the expansion of their drive technology product portfolio and has taken over the business of CMS with its headquarters in Basildon, east of London. CMS develops and manufactures highly dynamic linear motors.

Dunkermotoren is acquired by a new partner
Alcatel-Lucent, current partner of Dunkermotoren GmbH has decided to sell its shares of the Bonndorf/Germany based electric drive technology expert. The independent European private equity investor Triton takes over the shares as of January 1st 2010 with the strategy to strengthen Dunkermotoren's position in the electric drive system market on a long-term base. This transaction is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.
With Triton as new partner, Dunkermotoren will intensify its holistic strategical orientation to strengthen its abilities to innovate and to compete. All activities and business relations will be continued.
In the course of this transaction, Dunkermotoren GmbH will take over the production facility in Taicang as well as the sales company in the US as proprietor. The organisation structure of the complete company as well as the functions of the management team remain unchanged. The interfaces to the market and with them the contact persons for domestic as well as for international customers and suppliers will remain the same. The employees in the corresponding units in Bonndorf, in Taicang or in Crystal Lake (US sales company) will continue to be employed.

Dunkermotoren fulfills the obligations of REACh
The Company Dunkermotoren as a manufacturer of motors and actuators is within the meaning of REACH a downstream user. The products you get from us, are manufactured items and therefore not under REACH registration. As downstream users within the meaning of REACH, for the company Dunkermotoren in principle is no registration obligation.
In our own interest and for ensuring a high level of product safety, we are watching closely the implementation of REACH and the resulting demands intensive. In particular we are in contact with our suppliers, from which we purchase chemical substances and preparations, that we use in our production process (for example, auxiliary materials such as lubricants, glues, paints, varnishes, etc.).
Our processes are in popular applications of the industries used, witch is in Europe in large tonnage carried out. Against this background and according to previous statements, our suppliers informed us that the pre- registrations are done, and they will register the relevant substances within the legal regulation.
We will inform - in context of Article 33 of the REACH regulation - about SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) substances in each relevant case.
